Kits

Yesterday we saw Barnsley have to wear the Crystal Palace away kit at Selhurst Park as the referee judged that the red of the Barnsley kit clashed with the blue and red of the Palace kit.

Has there ever been a case where The Posh have had to wear another clubs kit due to a kit clash?

Five games to go

Here we are with just five games to go (Watford {H} Brighton {H} Derby {A} Sheff Wed {H} Crystal Palace {A})
We stand in twenty third place with 47 points.

With the teams we still have to play can you see us staying up?

Well as ever with us we never quite know which team is going to show up in any game.

Even going into the game against Palace one that we shouldn’t really have a chance in as they are going for promotion and we are struggling to stay up. It’s just the type of game that we can pull a rabbit out of the hat.
If we go into that game needing points I think we just might do it!!!!

Player of the Month

Today saw the announcement of player of the month as voted by Posh fans on Twitter.

In THIRD place:

RYAN BENNETT:
the new Norwich City player has only one month left at the club. Will he win next months prize?

In SECOND place:

GABRIEL ZAKUANI:
After what seems like a stranglehold on the top spot Gabs slips to 2nd place.

In FIRST place:

CRAIG ALCOCK:
This months winner has put in some fine displays since coming into the side. Playing at either right back or on the left side. His play has been very eye catching.

In One Day

Another bizarre day in the life of Peterborough United.
Lee Tomlin has been banned from Twitter after his slanging match with fans on the social network. He has made himself very unpopular in the twittersphere with his childish attitude. Hopefully he will now concentrate on his football (he needs to improve a lot)

In other news Scott Wootton has returned to his parent club Manchester United saying he hasn’t played enough.
He certainly has not played at his prefered position of centre half. He has played mostly at the defencive midfielder position since the injury to Grant McCann. With Scott leaving we are now very short at the centre of defence now with no cover if Bennett or Zakuani are injured.

Disapointing

What to say about yesterdays game. Bad bad bad. We were totally without a midfield, no forward play and an error prone goalkeeper. For me one player stood out in his awfulness. The low point of this players performance was throwing the ball at the referee (an act most people grow out of at primary school) for which he was booked. He then followed by the ref about shouting at him for most of the game. How he wasn’t sent off is a mystery to me.
Like most Posh fans I know. I believe this player has talent but his attitude stinks and this is holding him back as a player.
It has to be said that it’s not all his fault there is plenty of improvments to be made at the moment.
